Dar es Salaam, Tanzania was this year's venue for the East and Central Africa Peer Exchange and Learning event, held on the 29th and 30th August 2013. The meeting brought together government and Civil Society Organisations (CSO) to share best practice on enhancing grassroots participation in Social Protection within the region. The meeting looked at government policy and practice, how to enhance the voice of citizens in Social Protection, policies and programmes, and how to strengthen Citizen-Sate contracts.
